My referral miles experience and the interesting solution.

I don't think the solution to my problem referral link has been specifically mentioned.
I thought it an interesting/slimely/creative/underhanded solution to my problem.

I'll try to be brief:
- May 21 - Thinking of ordering, my SA (from a test drive) emails to say "feel free to send me your referral link, once you have ordered so I can apply it"
- May 24 - Ordered my MY at 1:21am (I thought I properly used the referral link of my Australian relative.. but I wasn't sure...I'm in Canada)
- May 24 - Messaged my SA at 1:30am to ask.... can you check that my relatives Referral link was attached properly (I had his email, from my test drive)
- May 31 - messaged my SA to say after an "online chat" with a Tesla rep, there is no referral attached to my order.
- June 1 - 12:41pm, SA responds by email, and says, feel free to send me the referral link
- June 1 - 5:17pm, I email the referral link to my SA (MAN - I'm doing everything I can, as early as I can to make it right!)
- Aug 2 - I email my SA that I got my VIN, and ask for him to make sure my referral is connected to my order
- Aug 14 - I pick up my MY at the "Showroom". I mention to the Delivery specialist that I hope the referral is properly attched (I have seen nothing in my lootbox the whole time)
- Aug 15 - I see 1500km and an unknown referral, i.e. NOT my relatives name, in the Lootbox, and my Australian relative sees nothing.
- Aug 26 - go to "Showroom" and talk to an SA. Explain my relative has no referral miles. Show him my above paper trail of emails. He says, will talk to a manager and call me back
(No call back, and Relative does not see Referral miles at all during my 2 week roadtrip)
- Sept 4 - email my SA again about my relatives lack of Referral miles (I also cc the "Support email" for my Toronto location, and it is bounced back as "Not deliverable")

-Sept 13 - I go in to "Showroom" and ask to speak to a manager. They say no manager til tomorrow, but they will SOLVE my missing referral miles problem.

HERE is where the creativitiy of the SA's solves the problem, but is this REALLY the way to solve the problem?????

** As the SA is clicking away on his laptop, he is saying, "I just need to find a delivery tomorrow, that does NOT have a referral link attached to it"
I give him my relatives Referral link, and he attaches it to a tomorrow "delivery". He says that will get him his, but not get you yours, so he asks for my Referral link.
He attaches my Referral link to another tomorrow delivery, which has no referral, and then says:
"There... tomorrow after 11am, check you lootbox, and you should see your referral miles" - "It won't be your relatives code, but you will get your miles, and he will get HIS miles, but it won't be YOUR code"

And low and behold, I get my miles - my relative gets his miles - both from unknown referral codes!!!
Seems a little underhanded, BUT I guess what it really means, is that TWO lucky deliveries at the Lawrence location, on September 14, got 1500km referral "miles" that they were NOT expecting. MAYBE that's where my INITIAL 1500km came from, cuase they were NOT from my relative. I HAD thought, the delivery specialist was giving free "miles" to a friend of his!
I guess not!!!

Wow, I thought it was the "car" reward that was canned, but my lootbox says "we are not offering referral awards until further notice"
Wow... I got in under the wire!, and interestingly, my miles "expiry date" is Aug 14, 2022 (1 year after my delivery date!)
