My Tesla model 3 Garage is ready and waiting

Nice work guys, I don't believe my garage will ever look as good as yours.

I have no laundry room, so it's in the garage, My Furnace is in the garage, my water heater is in the garage. Plus I can't imagine not having a workbench or tools out there. How do you guys do it!

On March 31, 2016 as the 8th person in line i was finally put my deposit on a model 3. Today the final piece of my model 3 preparation arrived. My wife gifted me a wall charger for Christmas, to complete my Tesla garage project.

Now, i continue to patiently wait for my turn to configure my model 3. Current estimate is late 2018.

Here’s what I did in my garage. I used my iPhone and AppleTV AirPlay to project the Tesla logo and letters on my 65” tv. Then I covered the tv screen with some thin paper. I used masking tape to hold the paper in place. (I used some cheap paper from a paper table cloth roll.) I then traced the logo and letters with a pencil - being careful not to damage the tv screen. Then I placed the paper on top of a piece of foam board (1/8” thick or so). I taped the paper in place, and I used an X-acto knife to cut out the logo and letters. I did this on my kitchen counter with a piece of plywood underneath, so as to not damage the counter top. After painting the wall with the Benjamin Moore Tesla red paint, I used some Command Poster Strips to attach the logo and letters to the wall. Cost me about $10 at Hobby Lobby for the foam board and a little time to make the logo and letters. Had to pay around $58 for a gallon of the paint at Ace Hardware. ??? Otherwise, the project was inexpensive to do.

Lively Italian Terrazzo glows seemlessly from the garage to the livibg areas, unload groceries from the boot directly into the kitchen.
I wander if i am the first to design a true electric car ensbled house ??

Wouldn’t pass code in the USA. Garages have specific requirements and they don’t grant exceptions if you choose to only garage EVs. Next owner might have gas burners.

Thanks, but I have washed it only two times since I took delivery. My delivery date was late July. I just use my California Duster once a week.

Thanks ngogas. I did this post because I wanted others to see how easy and inexpensive it is to do something like this. Don’t have to pay $150 + for aluminum logo and letters.

I suppose it would be reasonable in a warm and dry environment... but I'd get tired of having 40 pounds of sandy slush melt out of the wheel wells and onto the floor half the year... ;-)
