MYLR7 Sound Deadening

I was mostly following the instructions from this company, which makes sound deadening treatments, audio installation etc.
The material they use in wheel wells (in addition to butyl sheets) is not the same they use in door (dry side), even though it looks like it. This foam won't absorb water so it's safe to use it in "wet" areas.

I actually bought vinyl tubing already, but the piece was too rigid for this use, I think. Maybe it was too old. Well, I'll have to find a proper one and make the installation as soon as I have time for it.

Thank you for your comments and tips.

I don't think heating is a good solution if you want to keep the tube pliable also in use. It'll be rigid again when cooled down. I also noticed that I had bought the wrong size tubing: the inner diameter was 8mm not the outer. I bought a new, softer one with the right measures and installed it successfully mentioned in my earlier message.

Unfortunately, this didn't affect too much on the rumbling noise above 1 kHz region. I continued sound deadening process by doing the outer front wheel wells. I didn't have time to make the measurement since I had to change winter tires (studded) and now the measurements would not be comparable. Maybe in the spring. Anyway I did a test drive shortly after the installation with summer tires on and the noise reduction wasn't too obvious. Well, I'll have to finish the sound deadening process by installing the remaining material to the rear wheel wells and maybe on front flooring. It's really hard to localize, where the rumbling noise is coming from. If I had to guess, I would say from somewhere front. Well, journey continues...

Well there's your problem. If you'd bought the right one, cold temperature was likely the issue with it being too rigid.
