MYP Tesla Replaced my CF spoiler 3 times already!

Today was the 3rd time Tesla replaced my carbon fiber spoiler.
two times at the shop, today at my house.
it keeps on lifting either on the left or right sides, also this is costing me time too!
I love the car, but i hate this!
I picked her up March 13, 2021 a month and a half it happened 3 times.
one good thing the tech gave me the old spoiler to keep.

Seriously now if this keeps on happening, what should i do or what are my options?

Will be getting mine replaced soon for the first time. It was already lifting on each corner when I picked it up from Tesla. I'm sure it will not be the last time they replace too.

Yep, mine was replaced a week after delivery. This has been a problem since day one with the M3P (at least once they started delivering the spoilers), you’d think they would’ve redesigned this by now.

I win. Mine was replaced 3 times by mobile service and then a 4th time by the service center.

It's been fine since (a few months).

But yeah, very frustrating.

That does sound annoying. I heard they use Primer 94 before taping to help with the adhesion, and that is pretty strong stuff. Maybe check if they're using that? Also, could your trunk be misaligned and that's why it's lifting on the sides? I believe the tape is pressure adhesive and needs like 24 hours to be 90% cured. Maybe put some gorilla tape over the spoiler for a day or two before driving and see if it helps.

On the bright side, you got a spare spoiler! And if you don't want it, I'd gladly take it off your hands haha.

How big of a gap is the spec for this? I've noticed that my passenger side is at least a few mm more than my driver side.

Same here, my MY was delivered 1 year ago (17Mar2020) - meaning they have not fix the problem.

Twice replaced by Mobile tech, and just last week by SC...it's sticking BUT they left some adhesive residue, FML.

My passenger side has some give when I push on it, the driver side doesnt move yet.

I guess Ill pay more attention to it a few months down the road since mine is less than a month old

Welp spoke too soon.

Now it's coming off on the driver's side.

I'm done I'm not having them service it again this is ridiculous it will be the 5th time.

Mine is lifting again too. Hesitant to have it replaced again as they scratched/swirled the absolute bejeezus out of my deck lid last time.

For the people whose got it done a few times by Tesla Service, on the next try, would they allow you to do it yourself and perhaps we can use our own 3M/ diff tape

Mine was just fixed for the second time. They used some type of special automotive adhesive, not what was mandated by Tesla. They kept it over night with tape on it. It seems very secure, no bounce at all. Fingers crossed!

The spoiler that SC replaced on mine two weeks ago is now separating again on the passenger side. This is so silly.
