Mysterious high pitched whine in front

Just a half hour ago I suddenly heard a high pitched whine - as from a small electric motor - coming from the front, heard loudest when I crouch by either of the front wheels. The noise continues steadily whether parked or driving.

I have an appointment at Tesla Service Wednesday, but wonder if anyone else has heard such a thing?

It sounds similar to what I get. Although I get the whine when the car is awake and presumably communicating with the mother ship. It goes away after a while when the car finally goes back to sleep.

I just checked. Sure enough it has quit whining.
Maybe it was just whining out of boredom with staying home in forced separation. :)

Coolant pump.
Why would coolant pump be running in a parked car 24 hours after last being driven and 12 hours after charging completed?

Whatever was running sounds smaller and higher pitched than what I usually hear during charging.

In any event, Tesla service checked logs and said they see nothing that would necessitate coming into the SC.

My coolant pump started running 24-7 whenever it is parked with more than ~75% battery charge last year so it's been on essentially all of the time when plugged in. It's probably part of the batterygate mitigation efforts, they made all kinds of changes to bring down battery temps.
