Yes. Some history is in order. I don't usually name cars, but my wife asked me if I was going to name my Roadster, and "Tessie" immediately popped out of my mouth. Her groan guaranteed that name would stick. So naturally she asked a while back what I was going to call the Model S. "Essie". She groaned again and suggested "Nikki" (for Nikola), but I'm not buying it. Tessie and Essie are a pair.
For me, it's TesS. Yes, the second S is capitalized. I'm often too lazy to get the casing correct consistently though. If I was getting an X, it would be a somewhat more manly name like TeX.
Makes sense. I really doubt my names are original, although I have been using them for a long time (July 2010 for Tessie and November 2010 for Essie - when I made the reservation). Other naming threads: Pet names for the Roadster Pet Names for the Model S So we should probably reserve this one for Canucks!
I have a Panoz and they name every car at the factory based on employee children's name. They then mount a plate with a name in the engine compartment.
Sigh.. I like Evelyn .. with emphasis on the EV. I didn't really read too much of the other 'pet names' thread, but Katniss would have been my second choice as mentioned in there.
