Just noticed this news article on CBC:

Fast charging stations for electric cars a priority for Ottawa

Sounds great, though knowing how long it takes these types of things to go anywhere, who knows when it'll actually come to pass.

Yeah, I read that article earlier today. I'm still a little dubious given the apparent lack of knowledge the politicians seem to have about EVs. Also they stated in the budget some of that money goes to H2 and natural gas stations, for some reason I can't fathom.

Cool. But I hate reading the general public comments. It's like the Koch brothers have hired a bunch of kids to write them.

It was something like 60 million dollars, that buys a LOT of DC fast charging stations, or very few H2 stations, my bet is that it's mostly the later, with very little of the former. More money down the drain.
