National Drive Electric Week - 20 September in Wenatchee

Learning from our low attendance at last year's EVent we have signed up for vendor space at the "Taste of the Harvest" which has between 12 and 15,000 attendees each year. We are looking for EV owners who might be interested in providing drives/rides. Our plan is to have a display of electric powered equipment like ATVs and lawn care tools at the main space with the EVs parked at the convention center parking area. We will use GEM cars and our Polaris Ranger EV to move people from the main space to the ride/drive area.

If you are interested in participating post here or PM me. I believe we can get those helping a discounted rate at the Marriott Springhill Suite.

Steve Coram, well know EVenture Leaf driver and writer, has volunteered to be at our booth during the September 20th EVent in Wenatchee. People attending the "Taste of the Harvest Festival" are in for a real treat when they visit the Plug-In North Central Washington booth... Anyone else interested in coming?

Looking for a fun EVenture this Saturday? Why not drive Highway 2 into Wenatchee and attend the "Taste of the Harvest Festival" and join Plug-In North Central Washington at our information booth or on the driving range by the Convention Center. This year Wenatchee is joining the National Drive Electric Week celebrations to get drivers into seats. We are expecting to talk with hundreds of non-EV drivers and provide rides or drives to 30 to 50. The weather forecast is smoke free, Sunny 86. Come on over...

Close Out Report

We experienced nice weather, hundreds of curious people and some 300 interested people who spent time talking to the eight volunteers staffing our booth and drive center. In all we had seven EVs and provided 37 rides or drives during the EVent. We are looking forward to next year!
