Navigate to distant supercharger - preconditioning question

If I am traveling several hundred miles and want to use a supercharger as my "final" destination - will my Model Y know it's far away and only precondition when it's close?

Or will it just know it's going to a supercharger and start conditioning for fast charging right away.

I assume it's the former but wanted to make sure prior to the road trip.

Depending on the temperature of the battery pack the Tesla vehicle will start on route battery warming (ORBW) when you are approximately 30 minutes drive from the destination Supercharger. The Tesla will warm the battery until it is 40C (104F) for an optimal Supercharger session.

ABRP for sure. You can tell it you want to arrive at your destination with "x" % charge, and it will navigate you to a Supercharger as close as possible to your destination.
