Navigation Niggles

I have had my Y for five weeks. There are two issues in the navigation system that need fixing:
1. The audio/sound defaults to off, when I leave the car. This means that I need to turn it on every time I use it. Very annoying.
2. The turn instructions are often given to late to execute. They need to be vocalized earlier.

I have a Model 3 and Y and have neither of these problems. You might want to schedule service.

I'll second that. I've had my Model Y for 11 months and I've never encountered either of those issues. Good luck!

Try saving it in your driver profile after you unmute it.

Not an issue for me. When I get into my car…the radio turns right on where I last left it.

Not sure what you mean with #1. I do stop my audio when I exit the car, but if I didn't, it would start playing when the car wakes up (or I open the door if I've preconditioned it). No issue at all with #2. I get plenty of warning.

My stereo doesn't do this. When I open the door, the volume goes down a bit but, as soon as I return to the car, even if I just open one of the rear doors, the music begins playing immediately.

As for the second issue, I always turn off the verbal directions in my GPS devices so I cannot tell you if they are given too late or not.
