Derek (and anyone else who could help),You can get a chargepoint charger that has a plug that will go into the NEMA 14-50 outlet. It's one of the options on Amazon. Then Tesla ships the car with an adapter so that you can plug the chargepoint cable into your car.
It comes with a NEMA 6-50 plug (not a NEMA 14-50P) or to be wired in to the box.
So I could try to figure out which short adapter ("pigtail", cord) would go between 6-50 male to 14-50 female
OR
I could put a 14-50 plug on the end of the wires model (which is cheaper).
So to those who know more than me (particularly if you are an electrician):
Which is better? I believe it would be to put an 14-50 plug on the wires, not adding more length of chord (plus adding an end to the wires would be cheaper because that model costs less).
Who really knows out there?
