Hi guys,
Sorry for the frustrating first post...
was so excited about my incoming 100D X here in AZ, been watching youtube about the car almost everynight for the past 2 weeks.

when I heard about 100D had the price adjustment of 3500, I canceled my 75D order right away, rush to showroom to pick inventory one as OA said it applies to them as well. Car was 103700 after price adjustment of 12300 + 1000 referral.

For the past 2 weeks, Financing team made multiple errors here and there but finally able to apply 100% w/ 0.99% for the end of september delivery. However, price of the car showed as 107200 instead of 103700 (which is still actively shown on mytesla site as 103700 as of today). Informed him to make sure it is fixed prior to deliver and he said no problem.

Supposed to pick car up today but move it to next week because of work.
Delivery specialist call later today and inform that everything is ready to go and said the final price of car is 107200 + tax, etc.
I felt like this is quite unacceptable and I am being mistreated somehow as when I choose the car with OA it showed 103700 and I have been notifying them multiple times to make sure that this is fixed prior to delivery but there was absolutely no update whatsoever up until almost time for delivery. We also has been discussing about this with the OA quite a few times and he also promised that it will be fixed prior to delivery.
But as of today, he said the price was an error, nothing can be done, and it will be 107200 period

I'm trying to find another inventory that is comparable discount to it but seems like most of them has been sold.... and i'm not even sure they will be pulling the same trick on me again...

In this situation, if I cant find a comparable one, shouldn't I be able to get my deposit back since this is totally their fault? I mean... this is an expensive car and I expect them to be a little more professional about how they handle things... :(

My brother also just pick up his model S today in CA and everything went super smoothly. They even give him another charger cable when they overheard my phone conversation during his delivery despite they have nothing to do with the issue...

I searched hard and long for a 100D in that price that you found. But I couldnt find anything even remotely close. The 107 was about the number I saw some at. But I just took delivery today from Tempe of my 75D and the price I had going the whole time was exact. I'd say pull up your documentation that showed the price you were supposed to get. I'm very jealous of that price btw. Was it a used one with 5 seats? Fully loaded?

It was a new late June built, 5 seaters, everything but tow package...

There was actually a lot of them in that price range when I was ordering so you might have just missed it.

I mean the price in mytesla is still 103700 as of today and that is also the price OA told me used when apply for financing...

I mean, I was kinda expecting some responsibility/apologetic response from them but I guess they have enough customers and one doesn’t mean much to them...

Maybe because I was only looking for 6 or 7 seaters. Yeah if your price is still showing that on the final paperwork. I'd bring that exact amount and say this is what the paper said...

I don’t know the specifics, but the $3500 off was for orders in the pipeline around August, I believe. Not sure it applied to inventory or not. So, it could be an honest mistake. They should have been a lot clearer, and I would think they would eat it since your paperwork shows it in writing. But that may be where the confusion/error/difference came from.

If it's in print it's getting dangerously close to bait and switch (fraud). He's seeing one price for his car and being told another "sorry, now that we have you on the hook, want more". Seems like with paperwork showing the lower price, Tesla would eat the difference.

But would you require Tesla to stand by this statement?

I am assuming that it was not that price when you choose/order the car.

My price stay the same since I choose the car, hence I pick that car with the OA.

So basically, The price of the car when you pick up the inventory one in person with your OA is meaningless now since it can change to whatever?

This is what mine shows as of today. Still. Not 107200. Price adjustment vs Showroom discount.

Please clarify--do you have a piece of paper from Tesla showing the lower price that is signed or otherwise clearly approved by both parties? If yes, this is an enforceable contract. I recommend doing 3 things. First, read the fine print to confirm they committed to giving you a certain car at a certain price. Second, escalate this to Tesla executives as described elsewhere on this site. Third, call the fraud department at you state's AG's office. In many states they come down very hard on car dealers for shenanigans. I would do all 3 right away (don't wait for Tesla response before calling AG).

Good luck!

Am I missing something? Isn't that $103,500? 96,000. + 7,500 tax credit.

Yea. But they said no. It will be 107200 because of “glitch” which they essentially inform me about it < 24 hours prior to my original delivery date. they were nicely telling me about that when I happen to ask them about roughly how much I should bring with me for down payment and it was almost 4k more than I expected to bring.
There is still no price sheet for the “non-glitch” one. At the current moment, still 103700.

I’m trying to work on different inventory vehicle right now. Hopefully arrive before this Saturday for the 0.99%
Fingercross that they won’t use “glitch” again 5 minutes before I sign the paper. :(

I feel like this end of quarter push is making them rush and make mistakes. I ordered an inventory car in Tempe, AZ even though I live in Seattle. The paperwork was an utter disaster. I never got a piece of paper with the right price but I had communication from them with the price. The My Tesla page showed the right amount, though. Then they weren't sure how to register the car and Chase still hasn't received the paperwork from them from 2 weeks ago...

I would push them to honor the number you got. Also, the 0.99% financing is only valid if you purchase before Oct 1st.

Yea. AZ seems to be very lacking somehow.

My fam picked up model S from Van Nuys, CA yesterday. everything went smoothly and they have been texting me how awesome the car is.

It’s just, they have like 1+ month to check things when I submitted the app, why are they telling me now.

OA promised to call me back tomorrow after he discuss with his manager again one last time.
Finger crossed.

Yep, my cousin takes delivery of his Model S tomorrow.. the finance numbers were totally off, didnt even make mathematical sense. He had to go back n forth for the whole day today in order to take delivery tomorrow. They finally got it right after we broke down every dollar to them.

Are you trying to pick it up from the Tempe location? If so call their number and get to the delivery line and ask for Kelly, she was awesome. I had 0 traction with my DS in Seattle so I got frustrated and called Kelly. She got everything straightened out within a few hours.

Long version... I put down a deposit on Tuesday night and wanted to fly down that weekend to pick up the car. DS in Seattle was super aloof and hard to get ahold of. Found out he was OOTO Thurs/Fri and didn't tell us. So I called Tempe directly and got Kelly. She got everything setup and ready to go and told me to book my flights. Then I get to Tempe and Kelly was off on Saturday so some other guy helped us who had no clue what was going on. I'll PM you her e-mail.

Kelly is awesome. She delivered my S last year and X this year. Jeremy is also my new go to. I bugged him everyday for the last week haha. I'm going back to Tempe today for another S pickup with my cousin. I'll be seeing Kelly again. The finance person in California is the one screwing. Numbers Up.
