Need assistance with tire MYp

I just changed my wheels from 21 inch uberturbines to 20 inch liquid metal smoke wheels. What is the biggest side wall tire I can put on the car? 265/45/20? 255/45/20? Main goal is to make a smoother ride, protect the wheel and cushion for curb rash. Discount tire said the 45 side wall wouldn’t fit but I think it could.

I have 275/40/20 on MYP, I guess you can go with 265/45/20
