Need Help: MCU/Touchscreen Defect/Issue

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
My 2013 Model S was parked in the garage (not in the sun or any extreme conditions) and I notice the following on the MCU...has anyone experienced this? Its all below the surface, almost like an air bubble that you see under a cell phone screen protector. I'm guessing I have to go into a service center to get this fixed...anyone with a similar experience know the cost for this fix? Dreading going in...and on top of it, next available appointment is early November...

Thank you TMC community for any insight.

Thanks for the response. Do I just submit a normal service request via the app?
Sorry, I think I am wrong. I remember seeing that Tesla was recalling cars for screen failures. Well, upon reading further, this recall is not for the screen but for the EMMC replacement. The issue you describe is a common failure. I think the screen is about $550 plus installation. I don't think this is covered in any recalls yet.
