Need help... there is one component missing in my roadster

Today... I opened up the cover underneath the car to fix the fan connector issue and found that one component is missing.

My roadster looks as follow

and I found there is a socket there without connecting to anything


and I found in the community for other roadster image and I found this.

I don't have that box circled in red colour in the photo.

What is this thing?

Should I concern about not having this thing?

That's the rear TPMS "antenna", or it was. There's also one in the front, so it might be picking up the rear wheels too, but it's not going to be reliable.

Interesting, the marks left by what appears to have been duct tape... There's some history there that the car is hinting at. Wonder what the back story is?

Thanks for the reply. The duct tape was remove so that I can see the TPMS antenna connector.

I think this is perfectly making sense now. My roadster does not come with TPMS.
