Would love some ideas where to stay near UCLA. I am planning a trip from SF to UCLA in May. I would like to travel 101 and not highway 5 to have a more scenic experience. Any help is much appreciated.

The Hawthorne super chargers are only 20-30 minutes away depending on traffic. I have seen a number of model S in Westwood but I have not looked for charging there.
Only if you have HOV lane stickers on your car - LAX is between UCLA and Hawthorne and the traffic is rarely anything but heavy in that area (speaking from having lived near the 10 & 405 interchange for a number of years).
Alternatively, you could stay in santa Monica. They have a 24/7 garage that costs only $5 day with free clipper creek chargers. It's close to ucla, and there are a lot of hotels in the area.
