Yes I was pulled over today by state troopers in El Paso Texas and they told me the reason they pulled me over was because the paper plate was not in the back window is this true or is it supposed to be where the plates bolt to the bump

"Permit Display
The permit must be displayed in the rear window of the vehicle. If the vehicle does not have a rear window, the operator must carry the permit and receipt in the vehicle any time the vehicle is in-transit."
