I think you are confusing MCU and AP. There is MCU1 before March 2018 and MCU2 afterwards. There is AP2.0 through July 2017 and AP2.5 after that until March 2019.

Of course upgrades are available to MCU2 and HW3, so manufacturing date isn’t as important as knowing what upgrades have been done.

Your MCU is likely dying. They will offer your a refurb for like $600 or you can upgrade to MCU2 for $2500, something like that. They won’t cover under warranty (there are many threads on this and I think a class action lawsuit).

I had the appointment this week for the MCU1 issue. The note from the tech says; "Performed FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) reflash and advised customer that should the issue persist to let service know as it will need further diagnosis"

Since I have warranty until April 2023 and 80K miles, I'm not too worried about it at the moment.
