NEMA 14-50 Electrician West LA

Hi all, my first post here . I just picked up my MS last week and have been getting quote on installing a NEMA 14-50 in my garage. The best one I have now is $350 without permit, and plus $500 for the permit. I don't really understand why the permit cost is that high.

I still haven't made up my mind so wonder if any of you here has a recommendation on electrician in Santa Monia/West LA area?

Where were you quoted that? I haven't been able to get a quote lower than $1100 and that's without the permit. Did you mention you would be using it for an electric vehicle?

@flycathay that is good price ....depending on cable run materials should be less than $50
