Netherlands Factory, what they do ?

Just learning all I can and discovered all Tesla’s for the EU market go to 2nd factory was just wondering how much building takes place in the Netherlands are the cars mostly made in the USA or not?

Also how does this impact the quality of the end product.

As I understand it Tesla ships cars without their battery and engines to the Netherlands. The engine and battery are shipped separate, apparently to save on import taxes.

When they arrive in the factory in Tilburg the battery and engines are placed into the car. The car is aligned and a final check is done. New Dutch owners can pick up their car at the delivery location in the factory. Cars for other European countries are shipped, now completely assembled.

As Elja stated it is more assembly than anything else.
I picked my car up there and it is fairly interesting to see although I could not do the full tour.
They recently also covered the roof in solar panels, which is quite impressive.

What are the chances of me picking up my car there are driving it back to uk? I like road trips and it could be fun!

I would think that should be no problem.

Not that I know of. It's isn't allowed to do so, however.
It's a restricted airspace over the factory because of a nearby militairy airfield.
