UPDATE:
Car arrived to the Las Vegas store on the 3rd. Got a call that afternoon to set up an appointment for the next day.
Took delivery on the 4th.
Because of the Social Distancing the rep was not allowed to demonstrate the features of the car. Had me look at several tutorials which I could not since WiFi was not good in the parking lot.
They gave me 3 days to discover any defects and make an appointment to have them fixed.

So far only a couple of thing.
  • Scratched paint by the drivers side door at the entry point.
  • Charge port cover out of alignment
  • Left tail light slightly out of alignment
  • Rear right seat would not go down with rear release (manual works fine)
  • Heat Pump seems to make a lot of noise. Neighbor said it sounded like a vacuum was coming around the corner.
Since Paint seems to be an issue, I am lucky as it appears to be good.

One last thing. The Model Y does not come with a lug cap removal tool.

On the vacuum comment. Are you sure that isn't the pedestrian warning sound. The forward sound at low speed does sound a bit like a vacuum. Not all Model Y's are coming with the pedestrian warning speaker, but some have.

Thanks. I checked again and it doesn't make the sounds in the video. I may have been a cooling fan as it was 107F out. Today the temp dropped to 70 and there is no noise.
