Just remember any European article will refer to NEDC range, not EPA range that Americans are used to. NEDC range is a fantasy even more than "ideal range".
What's interesting is that the new range only works if there is no weight change - which would mean a new chemistry for the cells. 90 is likely to stay as a software limited 100...
In theory this would give the Model S a rated range of 326 miles. That's pretty sweet. It would be be 70 more miles than I have no on my old 85. I'm pretty sure they still won't do upgrades for a reasonable price.
Must be a rendering by some Tesla fan done when the rumor started after uncovering the 100D in Tesla's firmware. Each time a rumor or information is available you have dozen of photoshop savvy people creating stuff up (model 3 before unveil, model S with X facelift, Tesla truck etc).
I began wondering about that when Tesla posted a 100 graphic on their Twitter page then changed it to 100% Electric. Seemed suspicious. Like they didn't know people would jump to a conclusion. That was before the refresh. I have a gut feeling that the refresh cars have the 100 battery in their 90s. Some feel better performance in these 90s. And other rumors suggest refresh cars have upgradeable hardware and newer cars in production this week may have additional hardware getting them to AP2.
It will be awesome if Tesla doesn't over bloat the price, which you know the will. I am ready to order an X but now I am going to wait until 2.0 and 100.
