New 18" Pilot Sport 4S - Tesla Spec

Speculation time...One possibility I thought of is that Tesla will introduce new wheel choices for the P3D in Q3 consisting of either a staggered 235/35R20 front & 275/30R20 rear setup or 18 inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Possibly the return of a P3D+ and P3D-.

The 20 inch staggered wheels might be forged and can possibly also be the referral prize wheels.

Oooooh... staggered wheels would be a PAIN later on down the line; trying to find a combination of sizes (235/35 19 and 295/30 19) in the same tyre type has caused me so much grief recently - having to order tyres from two different suppliers and have them fitted by a third location, etc.

I hope there is another 18” option made available. That would be excellent and a vote of confidence that 18” is all you need. My suspicion is that 20” is an expensive overkill and will be difficult to find tyres for here in NZ.

Forget the acoustic foam tire, and go with the proper Michelin 4S version:

Foam just adds cost, weight, balancing challenges, and there are reports of it prematurely separating.

There are more differences than just the foam... (which btw does literally nothing to increase the weight).
