Anyone else not like the base silver wheels? If you take out chrome trim, why leave silver wheels instead of gun metal grey or black? The arachnids looks nice though.
Yeah, that opinion is pretty ridiculous. ;-)Two comments:
- second, any phone charging below eye-line is useless to me, since--absent Apple Car Play integration--I rely heavily on my iPhone for intelligent navigation (much better than what Tesla offers, and integrated with everything else on my phone). Yes, I know others' differ on this, but I'm just expressing my opinion.
Really?Under the closed panel in the console, obviously.
There are regular lugs under that plastic cap.Is it just me or does the arachnid wheels look like the one nut wheels we saw on the roadster?

With the stalks gone, how will drive modes be selected (park/reverse/drive/neutral) or autopilot/cruise enabled? Surely not through the screen, right?
Steering wheel is the future, absolutely brilliant!
At low speed each radial movement is amplified so you are never rotating the wheel around. At higher speed, it works more like current wheels do. If you don't "get it", you soon will, literally and figuratively. Tesla just leaped the steering control into the future, it's what they do.

yes, they have adopted the steering system of a 1972 Citroen SM. Don’t believe me? Look it up.
Agree but with the base model doing a 3.1 sprint to 60, aren't they all performance models?
Apparently there will be touch buttons for Park, Drive, Nuetral, and Reverse just below the phone dock.
I guess I'm in the minority here - I want this new S so badly!! I love it!! Nobody seems to be talking about the new powertrain, new battery, updated motors etc.
Most folks seem fixated on the yoke steering wheel and removal of stalks.

I bet you'll have a lot of folks willing to trade you a new one for your car that has a "circle" steering wheel. If you have been following the forums or EV news, you would have expected a refresh in early 2021..
It'd be nice if that OP would post the link. I see the URL of the photo but I guessed a few combinations and it does not change the rendering.View attachment 631450 Soo this is interesting.. I almost wonder if it will ship with a round wheel for legal reasons but comes with a removable yoke wheel to put on at your own risk.
