New Aero Wheels Same Rims Underneath as Old?

Hello,

So I am awaiting delivery of my M3 and have ordered it with the 19" sport wheels, which after doing a bit of reading on the 2021 19" wheels, feel as if they aren't as nice as previous years.

Then I found out the Aero wheels actually have a beautiful rim underneath you can just get a rim kit for.

My plan was to always have my 19" sport wheels dipped in black and glossier to give it a nice look. But now I'm thinking about just saving the extra $2k and changing my build back to the 18" rims if they still have that nice rim under the caps.

Anyone know?

The 2021 18" wheels are extremely similar to the previous wheels, but they are ever so slightly different. I don't recall where I found pics, but there are some out there.

I agree, I am not a fan of the 2021 19" wheels.

Thanks for the reply! The Tesla rep at my local store sent me some pics. He said they are actually sharper than the previous years. If anyone else is wondering, see photos below.
