NIOEP9 - 1350BHP, twice as much downforce as an F1 car (ground effects), All-Wheel-Drive...and of course, ALL ELECTRIC!...the initial plan was to build 7 we will see. Lots of good talks.

At well over $1 million each this car will have no effect on the EV revolution.

Never said it would but technology like this and Ramic can/will lead to future advancements. The LaFerrari even uses Ramic parts.

The styling is sexy, I'll give it that... but those are some pretty ginormous air intakes fore & aft...

It most certainly can. Not with sales.

    But with Perception.

If it outperforms every single ICE Hypercar. And by a wide margin. At the drag strip and at Nürburgring.

Yes, but they also displayed their concept car for consumers called Eve. It's the company that used to be called NextEV, now called NIO. I was at their display at SXSW here in Austin. They are aiming to start selling a car with level 4 autonomy in 2020. It's being designed in Munich, tech comes from San Jose, car will be built in China.
    NIO - Vision Car
Their slogan is Blue Sky Thinking, but the concept car looked more like pie in the sky thinking to me.

That's the one Faraday Future claims is a rip-off of their FF91 in terms of styling:
Faraday Future claims NIO copied its design for their new electric concept – what do you think?

It would be the 6th fastest stock production street car, or the 6th fastest closed-course car around the 'Ring with a 7m05s time, which is very good. Nothing to scoff at, it is nearly as fast as a Porsche 918 hybrid.
