DESCRIPTION:

For sale is a genuine Tesla OEM mint-condition, brand new (manufacture date late 2015, but NEVER mounted) rear matte carbon fiber liftgate spoiler for all variants of the 2012 through 2022 Tesla Model S. Original Tesla part number (102379-00-C) sticker is affixed to the underside of the spoiler. Heavy-duty, waterproof automotive adhesive is pre-installed and the spoiler is ready to be applied to your vehicle. Please see all of the attached photos to truly appreciate this authentic Tesla carbon fiber spoiler.

Look, you're smart - you own a friggin' Tesla Model S! Don’t waste your hard-earned cash on aftermarket junk or knockoffs! Your S deserves the best - only genuine Tesla OEM parts - including this genuine cross-woven carbon fiber spoiler with a matte/clear coat finish. Buy from a fellow Model S owner (I have a black 2016 90D), and please refer to my ratings and reviews to buy with total confidence! (eBay seller "blackbirdperformance")

This exact item sells for a crazy-high price $1,500 directly from the Tesla online store.

Mounting tape is attached. Brand new - never mounted or used.

FITMENT:

As a genuine Tesla part, this is guaranteed to fit perfectly on your 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 Model S. These were designed for the 2012 - 2020 Model S, but are also a direct fit for the 2021 and 2022 refreshed Model S Plaid and Long Range. Be advised that these are not an exact match to the the newest generation spoilers. Those are a few inches wider across the rear deck lid than this particular spoiler. Please refer to the last 4 photographs to observe this spoiler on a black 2021 Model S Long Range. Those photographs were sent to me by a satisfied buyer!

SHIPPING:

Spoiler will be secured in plastic wrap and foam, sealed inside a 48" x 8" x 8" corrugated cardboard box, and marked as fragile, to ensure safe transit to your doorstep via UPS. Local pickup in New Jersey is also available, and preferred if feasible.

PRICING & PAYMENT:

$375 per unit (TMC exclusive pricing) with FREE SHIPPING to the continental US. Please email me at [email protected] if you are outside of that area and I will provide a shipping quote.

To place an order, simply PayPal me via "goods and services" (buyer protection provided) at [email protected] and be sure to include a good shipping address during the checkout process. I will provide tracking information usually within an hour of payment.

There is a $15 discount for cash and "friends and family" payments. Bulk orders qualify for additional discounts!

PLEASE NOTE:

There will be no returns due to undertaking improper installation procedures by the buyer. Even in the event that the buyer fails to install it properly, additional automotive adhesive can simply be reapplied to the underside of the spoiler to re-attempt a proper install. Unfortunately, I had to include this disclaimer because a buyer failed to properly prepare the surface of the rear trunk lid and then claimed the spoiler was defective!

Installing this spoiler is an easy DIY project, but professional installation is always recommended. Should you choose to perform the installation yourself, which most buyers do, please use the following procedure to guide you:

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:

  • For best results, installation with adhesive tape should be done in temperatures of 72 F or above.
  • Make sure the trunk lid is clean; wash with soap and water, dry the area, then use isopropyl alcohol or "paint prep" (available in auto parts stores) to remove any grease, wax, etc., not removed during washing.
  • Position the spoiler in place on the trunk. Take your time to ensure that it's in its proper place. Use a tape measure to check that left and right sides are even and line up with the contours of the Model S trunk lid. When you are 100% certain of its location, use masking tape or painters tape on the trunk lid as a location guide. (You are NOT taping the spoiler down, just placing the masking/painters tape in such a way that you can remove the spoiler and put it back in exactly the same spot.)
  • Peel back about 1 inch of the red protective tape from the underside of the spoiler. If the adhesive tape is in more than one piece, be sure to pull back about 1 inch from each piece.
  • Relocate the spoiler onto the trunk lid, using the masking tape you put down earlier as a guide. Do not press down too firmly yet. With the spoiler in place, continue to pull on and remove the protective tape. Do not disturb the location of the spoiler.
  • Once all the protective tape is removed, apply even pressure all around the spoiler, making sure that the adhesive tape is pressed against the body panel. Remove the masking tape you put down as a guide.
  • Most spoiler manufacturers recommend that the vehicle remain undisturbed (do not wash, wax, or drive) for 12 hours, to give the adhesive a chance to set.
If any of these steps are unclear, there are also plenty of instructional videos available online to assist you.

Can it be installed over ppf?
Thank you for your question - and it is a common one. Another frequent question is whether it can be installed on a ceramic coating. I would refer you to your ceramic or PPF specialist, who would probably recommend removing whatever coating or treatment you have on the small area affected by the installation. Professional installers are able to perform this task easily.

That being said, I know plenty of owners who have installed over their PPF and/or ceramic coatings with no issues. However, I think the safest play would be to mount the spoiler to a "naked" surface to ensure optimal adhesion.

do you have the new 2022 model S plaid spoiler?
Sorry, I don’t. I would have posted them if I did. As far as I know, they haven’t been spotted anywhere for sale.

I’ve sold these particular spoilers to plenty of 2021 and 2022 Long Range owners, but to each his own! If I do come across the latest gen spoiler in the future, I will post them here.

Thanks for your question!

Do you have any good pics showing this and the current 2022 OEM spoiler on a vehicle? Side by side rear view. Just want to see a good comparison before deciding on this one v waiting for OEM to be available.
Here’s the best I have…. I hope this helps!
