I saw this auxiliary screen option by chance today. It seems to add Apple Carplay and a bunch of other features to the Model 3/Y. I have not yet determined the audio path it would provide us, but I assume it is still bluetooth.
Anyway, this looks very interesting for lots of reasons, especially for someone who wants more of a "Head-Up" type experience.
I still need to learn more about what it can do, but I am encouraged to see that some clever engineers are looking into ways to actually integrate into the Tesla signaling electronics and provide an alternate approach to visualization, control, and customization. This could open up a whole world of options for those wanting customization, and leave Tesla free to work on what they do best.
I am specifically interested in any option to allow high resolution audio for example, and perhaps Google maps and general iPhone integration.
What do you guys think?
