Does the new camera package for the Model S enhance any of the on screen camera views or is it purely for V2 driverless capabilities? Seems like it would be great for that birds eye view that other mfg's offer today.

Does the new camera package for the Model S enhance any of the on screen camera views or is it purely for V2 driverless capabilities? Seems like it would be great for that birds eye view that other mfg's offer today.

Coincidentally around the time they introduced HW v2 they also upgraded the rear view camera hardware from a 720p model to a 1080p model that looks dramatically better.

However, no, no surround view. The cameras are not pointing in the right direction for that, and most of the channels are black and white and red, not color.
