New Car, Already have water leaks

Hi There,

It's been raining the past few days here in Boston and I recently went through car wash with my new Tesla 3. I just discovered this morning moisture / dampness on floor mat behind drivers seat and moisture all around the plastic base of driver seat. The seat itself not wet, just the black plastic base. I made appointment for service, but wondering how many others experience this. Assuming this will be covered under warranty and maybe just needs tighter seal somewhere?

Definitely is covered under warranty. It is rare, but I have seen post about this happening in the past.

My car did this. I was told the windshield was improperly sealed and they replaced it.

The service center may give you the standard canned answer that it's within spec to have up to a certain volume of water leaking inside any Tesla!

Make sure you dry out your car asap, you don't want mold and mildew to set in.

I would suggest a can of damp rid.

Check your door panel alignment. I wish Elon would cross-pollinate Tesla and SpaceX workers. One can land a spent rocket booster on a drone barge in the ocean with precision and the other is vexed by the notion of aligning two adjoining surfaces with any consistency.
