I think this video is better than the other. It's real world swirls instead of using sandpaper. There is a definite difference seen at the tape line.
It's the adhesive of the PPF tricking the eye the paint below has less defects. Naked (non PPF) paint that polished without fillers and then sealed is the best in my opinion for depth and detail.

However, if this PPF solution works for you - find a shop/installer who knows what they are doing - as all have to be cut with a knife on the vehicle - without damaging the paint.
