New cars coming with 2019.35.108 V10.1 ?

I had the same concern when my July 2019 AWD M3 was delivered. It came with older software. I checked every day, five times a day for the update. The first update came about 8 days after pickup, but subsequent updates were as speedy as everyone else's. My take was that it takes some time after delivery for a new car to get into the update 'rotation.'

I took delivery of my car a week ago, and am running 2019.35.108. I chatted with Tesla support and they said there isn't a way to push the updates to me and that "On a new delivery those updates will be sent out to the car slowly in batches, it normally will take about two weeks to get all of them to the car. This is perfectly normal for the car and to insure all the software is installed correctly with out issue."

I took delivery on 2/29 and I just noticed my M3 LR says downloading 2020.8.1, so 1 week and 2 days after delivery. Looking forward to the update, especially since I purchased the acceleration boost and that hasn't been applied because I have been on 2019.35.108.

Yep, essentially the same time and mine is downloading 2020.8.1

I'll throw my car in here as well, picked up today, manufactured 2/20. 2019.35.108

My delivery specialist (who somewhat rushed the process) told me "this is the latest build."

Nice.

At least there's an online community to help inform!

Took delivery on an LR AWD on Saturday. Was built sometime late February/early March. Still running 2019.35.108. Been on Wi-Fi constantly for three days (thanks social distancing), still no update yet.

Would this explain why I can't stream Spotify over LTE, even though I have a year of Premium Connectivity? (The car popped up a message that Premium was active like 30 minutes after I got it, so that part isn't the issue.)

I am also on 2019.35.108 after taking delivery last Thursday evening 3/12. I can stream Spotify over LTE.

One thing - when my premium first activated, I could not stream Spotify over LTE, until I rebooted the screen once by holding both the steering wheel buttons down. After that, everything was good.

It’s been discussed in other threads. This is more than likely the “build as many cars as possible” approach. The HW3 units come prebuilt and with whatever firmware at the time. Rather than risk nerfing the car, send it out as-is and let the service center or time (in the case of the update) take care of it.
