Colorado Superchargers (location speculation, discussion)

I did another search of Walsenburg CO today and did not spot any construction at the most likely sites.
I don't believe it will make the advertised 2018 opening. Or, it's being built in a less than obvious location.

Any updates? Seems like there has been zero movement on any of the superchargers proposed for the 2nd half of 2018 (now coming in 2019).

I haven't seen anything happening. I drove from Grand Junction to Farmington in Dec and used the Silverton DC to get there in the cold. Although I camped in my X at the DC having a Montrose or even a Durango SC would sure be nice in these parts of the state. Thankfully there are the Ouray, Silverton and Telluride DC to help out.

We drove around Aspen Park and Confer yesterday but didn't spot any signs of construction. We're still thinking the shopping center where the Safeway is located would be a good location.

They are building something next to the Sonics the looks to have a footprint like a supercharging station.

Oh? We did see some road equipment near the Sonic that we figured was just a temporary storage area. Thanks for the tip. We'll have to take a closer look!

We stopped by again today. It looks like road construction storage for now but this is about where we were thinking a Supercharger would go.

At least they had the good sense not to put it near the crowded parking lots behind BeauJos, etc. That would be an ICEing nightmare.
