OMG call the cops...
What should I call them?
I can't get "textile" (non leather) seats with lacewood? Sad face...
That's curious. I'm sure that's in error.
That's how it's always been shown. If you want textile seats you get plain 'ol black. I'd like grey fabric seats myself and a non-glossy trim (that wasn't wood).
Decor accents (lacewood/obeche wood), 12-way, power adjustable, heated seats are all part of the leather package, can't get textile if you want those
Add key-based seat position memory to that list -- possibly the most important addition of the leather package if there are two or more drivers for your Model S.
Huh, I guess since I've always planned on leather I didn't pay attention.
This is the one thing that has been uttered on several occasions by store reps and such but never announced officially or put in writing on the website...
Hmm... was contemplating stepping down to microfiber given no gray leather till November but, definitely need seat memory.
*edit*: wanted to mention that I ran into a couple at the October factory event who were not at all inclined to get leather as they were vegan! I'm sure there'll be several others who may not care for leather much. Am sure they'd not be happy if they don't get seat memory by default with the microfiber.
I wonder if the red beta (with microfiber!) shown at the Google Earth Day event had seat memory! SByer, did you happen to notice?
I've asked a couple times at the Bellevue store, not sure my comments went anywhere, just got a 'Telsa will do what enough customers want', not that they'd note it anywhere.
Will keep trying to see if they'll let one choose that option but with the textile covering... (in pricing my S, thats about the only option I don't want, besides the child seats, and I'd consider upgrading to the performance if they offered the non-leather interior)
Count me among the ones that don't want leather. I've had leather seats in the past and yuck--Short lived, uncomfortable in both hot and cold climates. I can't see why anyone would consider leather. And you're right, I'm not happy about no seat memory or seat heater.
I can live without the leather but to get the Lacewood I would have to get the leather. Also my current car has leather and that does not bother me.
I also like to new update as well.
No, did not notice. Too many other things I was trying to remember to check (and failing...).
I also want position memory on non-leather seats.
Not sure if this has been noticed and posted about, but, with the updated design studio, if you toggle the Pano Roof on/off, the interior pictures reflect that! So, FWIW, one can sorta' see how dark or otherwise it'd be for those for whom pano roof is still in the balance.
Note, however, that the images with and without the pano roof are identical in terms of the amount of light and shading on everything in the car. (I captured both images and switched between them.) In other words, one is a photo-edit of the other.
What did TM say to talk you out of leather? Just wondering what kind of points he made to discourage you...
Just heard from a Product Specialist at Tesla - there's definitely NO seat memory with the default Microfiber seats... So, leather it has to be for those households with atleast two regular drivers.
That's really weird, why would leather have anything to do with seat memory? Unless perhaps the supplier only supplies the appropriate wiring for leather seats?
Or, to offer a compelling reason to upgrade in addition to the heated aspect (the additional 4-way lumbar/upper back adjustments notwithstanding)?
