New England Model 3 Configuration Invites

I posted this in the official thread, but thought I'd put it here too. So happy after being so pissed off after hearing a lot of onliner's configured earlier today.

I just configured (no email, but my Chrome add-on noticed a changed on the page and pinged me).
Reserved 10:30am EST in Mt. Kisco.
Live in Norwalk, CT.
Configured a Silver LR PUP with Aero wheels (to be replaced with 20' TSW Nurburgring)
I did tweet Musk and Tesla about an hour ago to say I was disappointed with not having received an invite :) I've since deleted it :D

Congrats. Still waiting on my invite...I was at the Natick, MA, store at 12:30. Friend of mine was in Dedham at around 10:30. Still nothing for either of us. It's frustrating but I know it'll come eventually.

Sad to say that my current car is in the shop today...coolant issue. Was not expecting to keep it this long... :(

Bummer on the current car. :( Hopefully it will keep on chugging for a few more weeks....

Your friend in Dedham was probably right on the cutoff for getting an invitation. I believe @Cintoman reserved around 10:30am at Dedham and was invited to configure yesterday. Just from scanning the New England non-owner entries listed on the Model 3 Invites spreadsheet, it appears that they drew the line sometime between 10:30 and 11 this time around.

And you're probably not too far behind either. I also reserved at Natick at 11:30am, and I'm hopeful that I'll be included in the next batch. If you're not in that batch as well, you'll probably be in the next one, since production appears to be ramping and the reservation lines started to thin out a little after noontime.

I'm also hoping that Tesla will get some more New England delivery locations up to speed with the Model 3, since Dedham will quickly become a bottleneck otherwise...

Sorry to hear about your car too. I too agree with @Bokonon in that it looks like they cut off line waiters after 11am this time. I missed the cut during the 2/22 invites, but made it this time. My official time from Tesla was that I reserved at 10:35am EDT on 3/31. Yep, I was at the Dedham store, and right around #60 in line, so your friend must have been right near me I'm sure.

By the looks of the amount of VINs they're requesting from NHTSA, I'm thinking another batch of invites should go out really soon.

As for delivery locations in New England, I agree...they need more. I hear they're opening up a store in Warwick, RI sometime in the Spring. Warwick and Dedham are about the same distance to me, so I guess I can take either place for delivery. Just not sure when they're going to open up.

As happy as I am to finally be able to configure, I'm deferring for a bit....I'm holding out for the white interior, AWD and SR. But if they keep pushing SR out further and further, I have to keep in mind the potential cutting of the tax credit in 1/2 at some point.

Let us know how you make out with your car. Also hoping she can last a little bit longer for you. We've all waited all this time...it's getting close.

Thanks. $300 to replace the upper radiator hose, so it could have been much worse. Still, that's $300 that I could have spend on M3 accessories.

I hear you there @John Lamoureux . That's the way I'm feeling about my current car. It's doing OK, but there's a few minor things here and there that I don't particularly feel like spending money on to repair/replace. Hoping mine holds out and that I don't have to spend really anything on it, and I can sell it or trade it in as is. Which means more money to be able to put towards the M3....it's funny, but I'm already spending money on M3 accessories even though I don't have the car yet (I got the T Tesla ground floodlights for the front doors and brighter interior LED lights from Abstract Ocean a few weeks ago).

Scheduled for delivery at Dedham, MA for tomorrow but unfortunately got a call from Tesla last night that the car did not arrive as expected. Rescheduled for Friday. Messes up my work schedule but it is what is:)
Delivery specialist also mentioned that the person assigned to this was already way behind with getting cars ready due to the 1st quarter delivery push. Actually not surprised since I wondered when my delivery date was first made whether they would try and pull the delivery in to 3/31. When that didn't happen knew they were likely over whelmed with deliveries. This way maybe they will have a little more time to make sure the car is perfect or at least close to perfect.

Just took delivery of mine yesterday in Dedham on the 2 year wait-a-versary. My wife was 6th-ish in line at the Natick store and I was in the first round of invites to non-owners on 2/22. While we were there I asked the delivery specialist about the volume and he said they had done 10 that week and there was one being delivered at the same time and 3 others waiting to be delivered.

Today's the day! 3/31/16 non-owner line-waiter at Natick, reserved around 11:30am, ~150th in line. Haven't received the actual invitation email yet, but I can configure. Very excited to have reached this point, even though my e-Golf lease runs through September and I am likely to wait for AWD.

Any other New Englanders waiting on an invitation... check your accounts!!

Awesome to hear @Bokonon. I got mine back on 3/22, but I grudgingly had to push the "hold my place" as I'm waiting for AWD, SR, and the white interior.

Aww, maaaan, that's a bummer.... With Tesla registering ~7000 Model 3 VINs this week, I was convinced they would have gotten to everyone who reserved before ~1-2pm on the east coast. But it looks like the batch may not have been as big as I would have expected... For example, on M3OC there's someone who reserved at 11:45am at Tyson's Corner who can't yet configure, so maybe our little New England queue is only up to around 11:30-11:45 as well. I haven't seen any other line-waiters from New England chime in yet, so that's all the data I have at the moment.

On the bright side, you're not *that* far behind me, and they covered at least ~45-60 minutes worth of Natick/Dedham line-waiters this week, so here's hoping your number comes up next week!

Yeah, I know I'm close.

My friend who reserved in Dedham at 10:30am got his invite as well!
