Got a test drive in the Model S this past Saturday at the Hingham store. Man what a car, simply amazed by it's capabilities. I got to drive on Rt. 3 in moderate traffic but still doing at least the speed limit if not slightly above. At times slowed down to stop and go, as the associate said this is where autopilot shines. I almost immediately felt comfortable with the car taking over and driving for me. I can see how some folks would simply trust the vehicle and be easily distracted.

The specialist while not overly pushy did seem motivated to get me to commit. They have waived the delivery and destination charge if you purchase by today the 22nd. He also mentioned the ability to use a referral to get the $1,000 discount as well as the mass $1,000 EV credit. Couple that with 2 year lease being offered at the moment and getting about 6k for my trade in, makes for a difficult argument to turn down the vehicle.

So darn tempting, but the timing just isn't right for me for reasons I won't get into. I'm still astonished by the test drive, and while I knew the vehicle was large, I felt surprised by how large the exterior of the vehicle felt from within. The interior felt very accommodating although it was a pre-fresh vehicle without the center console.

The big finale was the vehicle parking itself in between a couple of vehicles, my daughter and I were just :p:cool:

Thanks for the offer. It was a treat to see another Tesla close to home, and with an enthusiastic family to boot. The museum collection was a nice surprise, too but I never would have gone to see the old ICE’s if it weren’t for the original EV silently driving around on display that day.

After 2.5 years of Tesla fandom, stalking the Hooksett and W. Lebanon supercharger buildouts to post updates here, and spending I-hate-to-think-how-much-time on TMC, I guess it's time for a proper "check in"

On Saturday, I put a deposit on P56903, a P85+ w/ AP. The car is currently in TX, and seems to have spent its life in Austin. Yesterday, the Pre-Owned Advisor told me it currently takes 3-6 weeks to deliver CPO's.
