In the investors section, we used to have a small insert of TSLA chart on Yahoo. It was located in the right bottom corner of any open thread in that section. It was very appropriate, helpful and now I miss it.

If it is not possible to restore it, it would be great to get any similar insert of the current TSLA sp, at least in the short term thread. A chart would be better than a number, a number would be better than no number. It is something that is not essential but it is nice to have.

Thanks again.

Thanks, doug. New look is good. Looking forward to getting comfortable with the functionality.

WRT reputation bars, I get the feeling we can all kiss those goodbye. Good thing I ate mine right before the upgrade.
This is why we need reputation buttons. I'd be plussing the heck out of this just for the:

It was simple to upload an image on the old site. I did it all the time. I'm not sure what you were missing on the old site.
...
There is no option to simply upload an image.
I should point out that you can also just drag and drop image files into the reply box. Please click Full Image, though. No one wants to see a thumbnail and no one wants to see a link to an attachment.

Wow. I found the old site's way of inserting images a nightmare. Really messy and convoluted. All that uploading to my personal image library, then inserting an ugly tag to insert inline. Issues with the images getting lost during quoting, etc.

It is so much simpler in this new site:
  • If it is an image on the Internet, click the image button, enter the URL, and press the button.
  • If it is an image on your hard drive, drag and drop it in to the reply box.
Painless.

I'm browsing using Chrome.

Do you have any trouble posting when you click on "More Options..." and "Preview..." instead of immediately clicking on "Post Reply"? Both on Windows and Mac in Chrome, when I click on More Options and then "Reply to Thread," Chrome opens up a Save dialog instead of posting my comment.

On both the "More Options" and "Preview" pages, if I hover my cursor over the "Reply to Thread" button, the "Upload a File" button darkens instead of the reply button. I bet that's the problem.

The poster I was responding to,had said it wasn't possible to upload images at all on the old site.

As for your saying that it was convoluted, and that you had to first upload to your personal image library, I'm not sure what that was all about. All I did was select the image icon, and then navigate to the image on my computer, and select it and select "upload."

It sounds like there are equally simple ways to do it here, and I'll plan on exploring them. They're just not under the "image" option, which is why I was confused.

Anyone else seeing the issue that @Blastphemy is describing?

Admin, please consider changing CSS in the "Post Reply" box when links are added so there is a visual indicator the hyperlink has been added (and then perhaps if a hyperlink is removed as well.)

As it is, when you select text and add a link via the pop-up, there is no visual indication a link exists in the editor unless one goes to "More Options..." then "Preview", edits in BBCode Mode, or you finalize your post via "Post Reply" where the hyperlink then shows as red text as it does on the new post design. Having the immediate visual indicator when the hyperlink has been made will save a lot of steps trying to ensure posts are accurate for those of us that try to cross-reference as much as possible. THX

I'm going to read through this thread but, before I do - my initial comments..

EWWWW! WHY?

My links are broken.
Chrome had no idea what my password was for this site.
My 16x9 monitor is now treated like an old VGA monitor as the width is now limited
..and one of the first things I read is that Tapatalk no longer works with the site? (Maybe that will change as I read through this)

Were you really getting complaints about the look and feel? Or was this just "change for the sake of change"?

This is TERRIBLE!

Spend a week gone and THIS happens????

Another slight annoyance, after replying to a thread, the "reply" box seems to capture the cursor so that hitting "Home" or up arrow to go to the top of the page only takes you to the top of the reply box, unless you click outside of the reply box.

Might have been mentioned before because I stopped following this thread, but my brain is hurting from reading the small reply text and then the posted text. It's too much of a contrast. Can the text sizes match a little more? ........thanks!

HATE IT, sorry guys. You had a great forum that was working just fine, now it's slow as molasses and extremely difficult to read. Did you hire Tesla's 7.0 UI designer for the makeover or what?

For what it's worth, the board is actually faster for me now and doesn't have the random retries that the old one required.

If you don't like it, learn about CSS styles and do some formatting. I spent about 3 hours hammering out a style sheet override that cuts the white space down significantly and makes the board usable.
