What are the things that I think many of us have been concerned about when it comes to new vehicle deliveries is whether you have the Intel processor or an AMD processor…

I, for example, have a three year old model three and have not been impressed with the inability of the infotainment system to keep up… Let alone browse the Internet when I’m in a bind and need to use my car to do so.

One of our fellow forum folks recently called Tesla to verify which version of the CPU his new car would have and found out that, supposedly, they are using a faster version of the Intel processor in vehicles that use the Intel CPU.

While this would make sense to me, as a tech guy, because it would allow you to have a diverse supply chain as long as they’re both X86 compatible.

Does anybody know if there’s any truth to this?
