New luxury vehicle tax coming to Canada January 1, 2022

Just wondering if there is any chance Tesla could deliver a base Roadster to Canada by December 31, 2021? A new 20% surtax (luxury tax) is set to take effect on January 1, 2022 on the amount in excess of 100k (as per the latest federal budget tabled on April 19, 2021). That’s on top of the HST on the whole amount. That comes out to about an EXTRA 32k in taxes on the price of a base Roadster. That’s enough to make me reconsider this already expensive purchase. So is there ANY chance to get one up here before January 1, 2022 ???? Please Tesla, pretty please?

If you look up the law it excludes those (has to be a properly equipped motorhome).

So I could purchase a very large and expensive pickup and register it as a commercial vehicle vehicle use it as split use and avoid the Tax.
