New Michelin Primacy MXM4 - steering feels light at freeway speeds

I got Tesla to install new MXM4's on my 2017 Model S 90D. They installed and balanced them.

When I'm on the freeway at 70 mph and above, the front end feels very light and floaty. Previously it was rock solid.

I took it back to Tesla Service and they said it's fine.

Any thoughts on what else I should do? I don't think I'm imagining it.

How do you like the MXM4s, now that you've had them for 9 months? I'm considering them for my 2018 Model S 100D.

Tires seem fine but I'm still getting that same problem at speed.

I had them balanced and aligned by a shop that's one of the top specialists in the area (the lot was full of fancy cars) but it made little difference.

The only saving grace is I haven't been driving a ton.

One possible factor is that the tire pressures might be higher than you had them before. Have you checked the cold tire pressure to see if they are set correctly at all 4 corners? Higher pressures might make the car feel lighter because there would be a smaller contact patch between the tire and the road.
