New Model 3 Delivery

Got the pearl white model 3 delivered today. Service center did great job with delivery. I thought I might miss my classic S but so far I think I like the 3 better. There are definitely some things that need to come over with to the s with the refresh. I willl post more thoughts later. You will quickly get used to screen and the handling and sound system are amazing. For those of you waiting, I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Congrats! We are anxiously awaiting delivery at the end of the month for our Model 3. We are also looking at S and it's interesting to see you like the model 3 better. Do you feel a substantial size different between them?

Good question. I hope this is quick. I have a 4pm appointment on Friday and I want to get home before dark so i can study it!

I am very anxious for mine to be delivered (in line non owner, configured last week) general question. I ordered Model 3 without Autopilot, having second thoughts, Am I locked out? Or can I change my mind before they ship that sucker east? I will ask my delivery specialist just wondered if anyone wavered in between ordering and delivery and how accommodating can they be? In this case it would be $5000 EXTRA for them to accommodate me.......

I was able to add it a couple days after configuring. I don't know if they'll still do it after assigning a VIN.

Someone else had the same question but I don't remember the thread. I believe they were told by their ISA that they could add it prior to delivery and pay the $5000.

The gentleman who scheduled out delivery told us it would take about 30 minutes. I just hope I can remember it all!!

The delivery took about 30 minutes maybe a little longer. They just reviewed everything on car with you. If you have less time you could just let them know.

As far as ordering autopilot, I would definitely try to add it. The system is better now than autopilot 1 on my Model X.

In comparison to Model S, I like the 3 better than my 2014 Model S because of all the new toys, but compared to a new model S I think it depends on your needs. The model s definitely has more space and provides a more comfortable ride. The 3 feels more nimble and fun to drive. The 3 also has quite a bit of space in trunk. We just took a road trip and I will post that on a new thread.
