New (Model 3) owners - any surprises?

According to the video guide on autopilot you can adjust cruise control speed with the scroll wheel on the steering wheel. As well as distance from the car in front.

Thanks. The thing I would miss / like is "engage Cruise Control at current speed"

If you press the stalk down once it.... engages cruise control at the current speed.

Am I missing something obvious?

No, (on Model-3) it engages Cruise Control at current speed limit - so if you engage it driving at 30 MPH, on a 70 MPH stretch, the car will immediately accelerate (well, unless there is a car in front of you)

There are two scenarios when it will engage cruise at the speed you’re travelling.

On roads where the onboard maps don’t have speed limit info

If you’re going faster than a speed limit it knows about

I once followed a Portuguese back route. I'm sure the road was a dried up river bed. Either that, or we took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up on to a dried up river bed. Fun to drive though, but not for the passenger...
