That's amazing because when i sat in one in LA in February i did think it was slightly too compact. really happy they increased it a bit!
They better put ventilated seats in the 3, that actually might be the straw that breaks me from purchasing.
I wouldn’t count on it. They had them in the S and X temporarily and stopped using them. If they don’t even offer them in their premium vehicles I highly doubt they will be in the 3.
They are back in the S&X, but only the P version. So maybe the P version of the Model 3 will have them too.
Do you have ventilated seats now? I have them in my Lexus IS and they are just OK. I don't really notice them but some females with short shorts or a thin dress will sometimes.
Bingo!!!! There ya go. Please Please Please Tesla.....read this thread. I WANT WHITE VENTALATED SEATS!!!!!
They just brought them back, but just on the performance models. Would like them for the 3, but not deal breaker. Tesla brings back ventilated seats and makes new black Arachnid wheels available
I let people in this forum tell me what I should use for deal breakers or not. <-------sarcasm to the hilt. That's what you are supposed to do. <-------sarcasm to the max. lol
There could be many reasons for the change. Could be to make them more comfortable. I doubt that because there haven’t been any complaints on the seats at all. My guess is cost reduction. It was done to simplify the assembly process in some way. I’m sure it’s happened on dozens of other parts on the car that are not visible to us.
Well, they need to add an extra carrot to the P100D as apparently the new P3D will accelerate faster to 60.
Would be nice if it came with a bag of carrots to snack on. But one extra carrot wouldn't sway many people - maybe rabbits tho.
Funny you mention this. We have a car at our facility with New Generation 2 Front Seats and Old Generation 1 Rear Seats. Hopefully there's no delivery out there with a Gen1 front seat and a Gen2 front seat as you describe above. Regardless, we'll have updated Seat Upgrade Kits in both our designs whether you have Old/Old, New/Old or Old/New or New/New seat combinations. Did we miss anything?
Maybe it is just the angle, but It also looks like the seat belt bottom slot comes out farther in the new seat and the rear seat belt is definitely wider.
I'm no fatty, but I do like good back support so I scooch my butt all the way back in the seat. When I do this the side bolster definitely gives a bit of an extra squeeze right at the hip/femur socket. Not wholly uncomfortable, but noticeable. I'm hoping that like a good pair of leather boots, they start tight and break in to fit just right.
