What do the bottom cushions of your rear seats look like? We've already identified a mix match of new and old (meaning we have a 3 with a VIN 19,xxx with new front seats and old rear seats).
Here’s the bottom of the rear seats, again with VIN 173XX (pearl white). It looks like I have the gen 2 seats on both the front and back, correct?
I can see it now... someone is going to end up with a Gen1 driver seat and Gen2 front passenger seat (or vice versa).
Can someone comment on comfort between them? My X seats are more comfy than my 3...but my 3 seats aren’t bad
Half the seats built have been Gen 2, so your undelivered car will definitely have the second generation seats in it. -Randy
I really hope your right. My VIN is 217XX, but it's one of the lowest VINs reported in Canada. My DS told me my car was manufactured on May 3rd (More specifically.. she said its birthday was May 3rd)... but I got my VIN on May 3rd. Would i get my VIN the same day as completion?
Up until the recent change of delay VINs, several people have been told that VINs are assigned as soon as the car passes QC so it would make sense you get the VIN the day it was completed.
I have Pearl White with a vin over 1476X and less than 148XX I have Gen 2’s in the front and Gen 1s in the back. The gen 2 fronts feel better than the S or the X seats to me.
We have a 21,8XX VIN at our facility that has Gen2 front & rear. . . if this makes you feel anymore confident.
VIN 169XX received April 29, delivery is May 22nd. I wonder if this is something we can refuse delivery on
I wouldn’t worry about it. I rode in a Model 3 with the old seats and didn’t notice a difference until Kim’s video. I thought the old seats were nicer than the S and X as well. It’s a great car. You’re going to love it!
