Poduction 90D maybe?? They have fixed spoiler, and I assume they stay up all the time

We saw several truck on our way up I5 this week. At least half the cars were Xs.

Spoilers stay up because they're not completely turned off. Is it called "transport" mode? Don't remember now exactly. All X's seen on transports have had the spoilers up though.

The cars are transported in "Factory" mode. They don't lock (so the spoiler wouldn't retract) and can be driven without a key (speed is restricted). I assume key pairing occurs at the Service Center before delivery.

You can tell one form the other by the door handles or proximity of the front door hinge to the wheel well.

Shouldn't be 90D as none have been shipped outside of California. Should be P90D.


Also surprised they used a open carrier. My Model X was delivered using an inclosed carrier.

My S was delivered in a closed carrier, but every X photo I have seen has been open carrier.

Good call on the handles - very easy way to tell them apart quickly. They do look rather similar fro afar.

My Model S was shipped very plump. After limiting charging, and driving a lot of hard miles, it's just as slim as the rest of the Teslas I see around.
