I just had a new NEMA 14-50 outlet installed, but my Model X isn't here yet. I am hoping that a Model S, or roadster owner who may be in the North Orem, Utah area would be willing to test it. Please PM me if you can swing by and test it. Thanks!
Lol, I just tested one for someone else recently. I can swing by sometime, pm me your address and we can work out a time.
I love when I hear someone ask someone else to plug in their $100k car first to test out their brand new socket. That way, if it's wired wrong and blows up, at least it wasn't your car
UMC could be replaced (by the homeowner), but my bigger worry is that I think I have a charger and what if it doesn't really have power?
Buy a cheap digital voltmeter at Hoe Depot, set the meter scale to the next highest AC voltage above 240 and put the test leads in the outlet.
Yep. I really just wanted to see a Tesla in my garage I guess. I knew it had 240v but oh well. Now Denarius knows he can come by and charge if he needs it.
I think I am the same! I think it would be neat to see a tesla in my garage! When are you hoping for your tesla?
I think Denarius has a plan to test all the new electrical installs in his area. Gives him a reason to drive , get juiced up, and meet people. Actually, sounds pretty good to me.
Just spreading the Tesla love! A lot of people haven't seen one in person, and it is nice to meet enthusiasts!
Put it on Plugshare.com (you should have the app anyway once you get an EV car. Then the people will come! There isn't a better feeling than saving someone hiney when their dash says "charge now" LOL
