New Nomad delivered today

do not buy from nomad or jeda. I have both of them. Both of them get all those scratches after less than 3 months. And both of the two chargers are so sick. I've been having an issue with my v1 Nomad where the charging pad (along with my dashcam/music USB drive on a splitter) fail to be recognized/turn on after parking at work on 70 degree days. I'm assuming this is some kind of thermal shutdown feature, but if that's the case then it's too sensitive to heat for this application in my opinion. I haven't seen this issue previously, but then again, I received it in November.

I've e-mailed Nomad support, just curious if anyone else has seen this happening yet.

I have the gen 2 with no issues. Installed in December. Maybe they’ll swap it out?

2. I have had it for 5 months. However, as others have pointed out, phones are getting bigger and some my not fit. I have a Note8, which is a tight fit with a minimalist case.

Yep, I ended up swapping it out, they replaced it with a v2 Nomad which I've had for a few weeks now with no issues in regard to warmer weather.

but this is really annoying. The top of the phone would rub against the cover every time you open it and want to charge your phone.

I place the bottom of the phone in first and then slide in the top. It's not a big deal even if the case rubs a bit against the lid. Clearance was even worse trying to use the original fixed USB jack.
