New Obligations Required for Install

I finally have my install scheduled for June 3rd.

Today I logged in to check my account t and had a new message. “New Obligations Required for Install. We’ve learned there will be some obligations we need you to complete prior to install. Your advisor will reach out with more details.”

Anyone have any idea what that might be about?

Could be some local building department or fire department conditions that they were not aware of before. Also do you have an HOA? That can also cause issues.

Might be the dreaded 3 feet clearance from gas lines or the bollards surrounding everything.

When I got that message, my advisor sent me an email shortly after telling me know that I needed to have my roof replaced.

I thought Tesla had a 7-year-old roof max. Also, might be hail damaged.

Our composition shingle roof was installed in 1992, and Tesla agreed to install solar panels on it in November 2020. I think the condition of the roof is important, but not especially the age.

Yes have an HOA, and have the signed approval letter but Tesla has not asked for it (yet).

Nope replaced about 4 years ago w/ a new roof, no hail damage since.

Per your thread, you ordered about a week ago. Tesla energy products (through tesla) are measured in month(s), not weeks. I will be shocked (seriously shocked), if you have permission to operate before Halloween of this year.

I expect that lol. But no advisor, no design, no communication at all for 9 days on 3 new orders? That’s a new one from all of the posts I’ve read. Sounds like people usually get a design within 1-3 days.

My HOA waiver paperwork was in the portal, didn’t have to send it to an email address. It asked the HOA question during the home assessment and then added a docsign as a pending task afterwards.
