New Official Tesla Model Y trunk storage bins

Thanks for the heads up, I just ordered some. I was just thinking about this after a recent SC stop, I had to police up some trash and had no place to put it. And as a pet owner, this is brilliant, I too was worried about our dog stepping into one of those cubbies.

Now all I'm missing is a sunroof shade from Tesla.

Installed these yesterday, and they’re just okay…

For some reason I’m having trouble getting the right side to fit perfectly, and with the lids on, they sit lower than the floor, so it’s not super seamless.

Will keep them though, they’ll still make those cubbies more usable.

Installed mine today. Easy to install and sits flush on both sides.

Interesting… my lids are definitely a half inch or so lower than the rest of the floor. I’ll have to investigate and see if I can reposition the bins somehow.

@rubyred do you have a 5-seater or 7-seater? If 7, try flipping over the under-trunk storage lid to see if that helps? On 7-seaters, it's reversible to offer up a flat floor when the seats or folded at the expense of a little space, or maximize space but with a "bump up" where it meets the folded down seats. I'm not describing this very well, and I don't have a 7-seater (nor these new cubby accessories), but it came to mind as a possible explanation for what you've reported.

Good thought, but it’s a 5-seater (MYP). I haven’t had a chance yet, but I think I can probably manipulate the position of the bin a bit to make it more flush.

Interesting that yours fit fine

mine must be suffering the same issues that our Tesla bodies do

my driver side fits great.

Passenger side is too wide. Rubber has to squish and bends, and the cover extends to the trunk flooring
