This morning I got the message on "My Tesla" that my order was on hold and was asked to enter my driver's license.
Now my new order status is: "We have begun sourcing parts for your order"

I haven't seen this status from other reservation holders that have finalized. Anyone?

I received the same message this morning, except mine already defaulting to the "sourcing" language you mentioned. While it did say my DL info was missing, the order was not on hold.

Like 4SUPER9 and VolkerP for me. The website was closed for maintenance when I tried to access it at 11pm last night (and still closed at 1:30am), so I think they pushed a major update. It looks like the update includes new status tracking, which I'm sure will be much appreciated by future reservation holders.

I had the sourcing message yesterday, with a delivery date of Late August. Today both the sourcing message and the delivery date are gone.
Hopefully the site just going through a weekend update.

Yep. My "sourcing" status disappeared today too. With it, I lost the delivery service center location that was also posted.

Likely just a glitchy byproduct of the new webpage.

The Tesla website is well known for being flaky. They do eventually fix it though.

I actually just called to get an update, and the rep on the phone said that they took off the "we have begun sourcing parts for your order" intentionally because it was confusing some people. So another case of not a bug, it's a feature! Perhaps it was causing some unknown issues.

I think they may have fixed it now because this morning mine started showing "In Production. The Tesla Factory is building your Model S". I wonder what it shows for those who have already taken delivery. Perhaps now it shows the real status.

Mine went back to "sourcing parts." Not listed as being in production. I wish.

For the time being ignore "sourcing parts..." its inaccurate, talk to your delivery specialist, my car was delivered to my service center on Monday for pick up today & I am getting the message.

4SUPER9, have you talked to your delivery specialist?

I talked to my DS as my status still says sourcing parts. He said that it's probably at least another 1-2 weeks til my order goes in to production. Sigh.

My VIN is right behind yours, same scenario (except I haven't talked to my DS yet). The funny thing is my mytesla page says "estimated delivery: late July, An exact delivery date will be provided in a month." So they are going to tell me in August that my cars been delivered already? ;) My guess is middle or late august delivery for me, depending on how long it takes the car to get to South Carolina from California.

Hahahaha. I went to the "My Tesla" page to check if my payment went through and saw the "sourcing parts" message - and to think that my delivery is firmly scheduled for Friday 7/19. Maybe they want to build me another one for free?

I speak to my DS early and often, I probably call him 3-4 times a week minimum to stay on top of this. I know that Tesla being the new company that they are sometimes will fail to follow up with me, and unless I take the ball and run so to speak, the proverbial ball could get dropped. My DS says delivery will be July 29th, but when I speak to anyone else at Tesla they say 8/1-8/29.

Like you said, will they call me next month and say my cars been delivered? Lol. I'm in Vegas so my time frame should be a week roughly shorter due to the lack of cross-country transport and related delays. Also, I think they're putting a preference of builds on models with Performance / Performance Plus options.

I'm so excited I keep hitting refresh on the MyTesla page a few times a day. My electrician is coming to install the HPWC tomorrow.

Mine is on a truck and I was told it was in New Mexico at 6AM yesterday. I had some stuff on my due bill on my Feb delivery P85 so maybe the sourcing is for stuff that did not make it on the car before it shipped. I wonder what they forgot on this one (or what they are still sourcing). I hope they get it sourced before the scheduled delivery this Saturday.
